ANTI-OXIDANT BK IS PLEASE TO PRESENT VIDEO AND FILM WORKS FROM SHANNA MAURIZI, LINDSAY BENEDICT, SEYHAN MUSAOGLU & JESS RAMSAY

Come early for dinner and drinks. The food is amazing and the staff is fantastic! Then head downstairs to the Lounge for an evening of video art and experimental film.

SHANNA MAURIZI

Shanna Maurizi has been making experimental films and installations that explore site and landscape since 1990. Her films have been screened at Craig Baldwin’s Other Cinema, San Francisco Cinematheque, CitySpace, Documental Film Series, Rotterdam Kunsthal, and reviewed by Manohla Dargis at the LA Weekly. Most recently she has been included in the program for Video in the Built Environment in London, The Archive Project at the Israeli Center for Digital Art, and the Tank and Ocularis in New York. Currently she lives and works in Brooklyn making films, photographs, and myriad ambitious underfunded projects. www.perpetualartmachine.com

LINDSAY BENEDICT

Working in film, sound, performance, sewn text and photographic essay, Lindsay Benedict collects the unheard, silenced voice. Her work, often emotionally raw, resists a traditional narrative and sometimes is presented as a fragment or gesture. She spent the last 7 years in Oakland before moving to New York to attend the Whitney Independent Studio program. Her films have screened at New Langton Arts and the Pacific Film Archive in the Bay Area. She got her MFA degree from UC Berkeley in 2007. Here now a year, Lindsay lives in Bushwick.

She does not have a website because she tries to limit her internet presence, but her subjectively edited collection of lectures can be found on her 'Lectures With Lindsay' website: http://studio.berkeley.edu/atclab/lectures/audio.htm
